An updated Map 1 (Water Quality Waterways by Protection Criteria) is provided as Attachment A. Table
2 shows the number of miles of water quality protected waterways by protection criteria and by
1 jurisdiction.
Table 2. GOAL 5 RELATIONSHIP
In October 2004 staff provided information on the relationship between the water quality protected
waterways and existing protection measures (i.e. west Eugene's Waterside Setback Zone). In November
2004 and again in March 2005, staff provided information on the relationship between the water quality
protected waterways and the proposed Goa15 protection measures, which were in a state of flux at the
time. Goal 5 protection measures were adopted in November 2005, and there are differences between the
adopted Goal 5 waterways and the previous draft Goal S waterways. Table 3 shows the updated
relationship in lineal miles (as distinct from acres) of the water quality protected waterways to existing
protection measures (i.e. west Eugene's waterside setbacks, and the adopted Goa15 Protections).
3/28/06 ~
