1867 Kingsley Road, Apt. 85
Eugene, OR 97401-1517
August 24, 2004
Kurt Corey, Director
Department of Public Works
City of Eugene
858 Pearl Street
Eugene, OR 97401
Dear Kurt,
My apologies for taking so long to get this confirmation
letter written. Even in retirement there seems to be more to
do than I can do in each day.
--We the members of the Kiwanis Club of West Eugene Earlybirds
are very pleased to have you accept this speaking engagement
at our club meeting on September 21, 2004, or, perhaps, it
may be Mark Schoening, City Engineer, who will make the
presentation. I would be very pleased if you both could make
this meeting. I am strongly suggesting that the presentation
be concerned with the planning details and costs for street
and other infrastructure associated with the new Federal
Courthouse site. Also, the "what if's" that may be
associated with. the EWEB site in the event that
McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center may be successful in
acquiring that property. You will have about 30-40 minutes
including time for questions for your presentation.
There may be those present who may want to talk about other
projects but because of the time constraints I want to
control the presentation to the subject outlined above. If
you or they want to discuss other projects and if you wish to
talk about them after the meeting that will be up to you. I
will do all T can to control the subject matter.
Our Kiwanis Club meets each Tuesday morning at 7 AM for
breakfast at Robinson's Cafe, 645 River Road. I would
suggest that you come at about 6:45 so that we can set up any
displays or props. I have a small white-board and a 4'x3'
screen and the Cafe has a VCR-TV Monitor that can be used.
If these props are needed please call me at 729-2765 ahead of
time so that I will have them with me or so that I can
arrange for them.
We invite you--one or both-- to join us for breakfast. We
look forward to your presentation.
Ver,~ truly ,
,~; / ~r~
~'' Gordon Wyatt
~~
~~ ~
~~'`
v1 ~
~~ ~~ ~'
~~~~
