Feedback Questionnaire for the
Guidelines for Evaluating City Projects for Salmon/ESA Impacts
March 6, 2002
Feedback Questionaire for Guidelines.doc
Please help us improve the Guidelines by answering the following questions. If your project has already been
completed (e.g., Rasor Park Master Plan), please try to put yourself in the mindset of when your project first began.
Please. return the completed questionnaire to Eric Wold (Eugene PDD) in digital format.
Your Name: Robin Hostik
Project Name: Rasor Park Master Plan
i
1. Are there additional pieces of information that you would like to see included in the Guidelines? Please describe
what they are.
Yes - a Zink to or access to relevant stormwater BMP's; examples of or links to impervious surface alternatives
(also where they have been used effectively).
i
5. Given that there are potential civil and criminal penalties associated with violations of the ESA "no take" policy,
are you (very supportive, somewhat supportive, not supportive) of using the Guidelines in the project planning
process.
..even if there were no penalties.
6. Briefly describe the orientation that you received on how to use the Guidelines. Was the level of orientation
sufficient for you to understand how to use the Guidelines? If not, please describe what additional information
you would like to have in an orientation session.
Eric - I
found youY process very clear, comprehensive, and user
friendly! The only thing I would
recommend is an Appendix or online collection of
plans showing examples of
projects (Plans... most
engineers and designers are used to dealing with something tangible) that could impact salmon and
exactly how they could be improved. Include, for example, lots of information about technology (e.g.,
impervious surface, even consider supplying alternative construction details!) that most people are !
unfamiliar with and therefore likely to research and use. I know, it's a lot of work
for someone, but a
picture is worth a thousand words.
7. Describe your comfort level evaluating your project using the Guidelines?
,High.
Page 1
i
