Is there an alternative direction the governing bodies wish to provide? <br /> RELATED CITY POLICIES ' <br /> The Eugene-Springfield- Metropolitan Area General Plan, the Public Facilities and Services Plan, and the <br /> MWMC Facilities Plan all have been adopted by the City of Eugene and generally pertain to the issue at <br /> hand. However, given the complexities of the issue, it would be simplistic to cite any particular policy <br /> statement is this summary document. Amore thorough discussion of the relationship between Coburg's <br /> request and long-range regional plans and other pertinent policy documents can be found in Attachment <br /> A, beginning on Page 3. <br /> COUNCIL OPTIONS <br /> <br /> .The council could choose to: <br /> 1. Direct the City Manager to work with the City of Springfield and Lane County to develop a model <br /> for responding to the Coburg request. This option would include an acknowledgement that <br /> preparation of such a model is in the public interest; that Coburg would be financially responsible for <br /> the cost of all associated efforts including planning, legal, and connection costs; and that staff would <br /> return with recommended cost-recovery and customer/service relationship scenarios. <br /> 2. ,Decline to investigate the viability of service models appropriate for responding to the Coburg <br /> request or future similar. requests. <br /> 3.
