Peter, MaryBeth, and I met on Monday to begin to generate a list of
issues for review by the elected officials in determining whether and how to move forward
with studying a Coburg connection. Greg Mott also provided some land use comments. Here
is a first cut a the list. When Dan Brown gets back from vacation, we will schedule a

meeting of a much broader range of staff to flesh out and refine this list. However,
Jamon Kent has scheduled a meeting at 1:00 pm today at the Eugene Chamber office with•
numerous State level and Coburg officials to begin to get a handle on the scope and cost
of a study, so I wanted to get at least a very rough draft on the table for their
information. As you can see from just our starting point list, predicting costs and time
frames at this point would be beyond staff's guessing ability.
Hopefully this afternoon's meeting will provide additional information to staff that will
help us move a report forward to the elected officials in a timely manner. Please let me
know if you have any. feedback on the preliminary list at this time. Thanks, Susie
1
