Bicycle Commute Week is a national effort designed to promote <br /> awareness that icycling is fun, it's good exercise, and it helps the environment and the <br /> community. <br /> i • On S turday, May 22, David Niles will lead a bicycle tour of outdoor art. Riders should <br /> meet at the co er of 13`'' Avenue and Kincaid Street at 9:30 a.m. For more information, call <br /> 346-S42S. <br /> • Also n Saturday, May 22, the GEARS Bicycle Touring Club will lead a pleasant, 10- <br /> mile introducti n to Eugene's bike path system starting at 10 a.m. at Campbell Senior Center, <br /> 1 SS High Stre t. For more information, call 345-3181. <br /> • Thur day, May 27, has been designated as Bicycle Commute Day in Eugene. Members <br /> of the commu ity can show their support by riding their bikes to work or school. The "Tandem <br /> Taxi," a servic sponsored by Burley Design Cooperative, Green Gear Cycling and the UO <br /> Tandem Taxi, ffers a way for people to ride to and from work or school on the back of a tandem <br /> f bicycle.
