The land on which the two houses are located is slated to be converted to a <br /> public overloo and parking area as part of the 400-acre project, which is being done by the City <br /> of Eugene in c operation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and other wetland partners to <br /> Ii <br /> restore floodpl ins, provide a more natural stream configuration, and enhance the habitat for <br /> ' native species. <br /> A Eug e Police "SWAT" team already has used the houses for a training exercise. <br /> BRING Recyc ing has a contract to salvage plumbing and other interior building materials for its <br /> <br /> I "Reuse Wareh use" on Franklin Boulevard.
