The first "design a skatepark" session in <br /> Se tember drew m re than 150 skaters, parents and other interested parties. Plans currently call for <br /> tw skateparks to b constructed --one at Churchill/Kennedy, and the other at Cal Young Middle <br /> Sc ool. A third sk tepark design session is slated for Tuesday, Nov. 9. <br /> At a series f public meetings beginning October 18, area residents can review preliminary <br /> de igns and offer c mments on three proposed youth sports parks and two major field upgrades. The <br /> Ci of Eugene and School District 4J are working jointly to develop multi-feature youth sports <br /> pa ks at Churchill/ ennedy and at Sheldon High School, with a smaller version at Cal Young <br /> Mi dle School. Sy thetic turf athletic fields are planned for South Eugene and North Eugene high <br /> sc ools. Meetings re scheduled Monday, Oct. 18, at South Eugene High School; Tuesday, Oct. 19, <br /> at orth Eugene Hi h School; Wednesday, Oct. 20, at Churchill High School; Monday, Oct. 25, at <br /> Ca Young Middle chool; and Tuesday, Oct. 26, at Sheldon High School. All of the youth sports <br /> pa meetings run om 7 to 9 p.m. in the school cafeterias.
