SDC funds are used to help the City <br /> provide for a increased capacity to serve new development, maintain health and safety <br /> standards, an recoup a portion of the community's investment in the infrastructure that is <br /> <br /> I, already in pl e. <br /> Build rs, developers, real estate agents, architects, designers, and the general public are <br /> invited to le more about proposed changes in the SDC methodology and in the amount of <br /> SDC fees col ected for transportation, stormwater drainage, parks and wastewater systems. <br /> Proposed me odology changes include decreasing the percentage rate used to calculate <br /> <br /> I!I administrativ fees, capping the administrative charge that may be collected with a single permit, <br /> <br /> II and eliminati g SDC credit for private stormwater detention facilities. <br /> <br /> III Overa 1, the recommended SDC fees are expected to increase between 35 and 52 percent. <br /> <br /> I~I The specific ercent of increase will vary by infrastructure system. Staff is recommending the <br /> <br /> i <br /> <br /> ~I~I, adjustments t respond to the increased costs of constructing public facilities to serve new <br /> development. A preliminary comparison of 16 Oregon cities that collect various SDCs indicates <br /> that as propos d, Eugene's SDCs are in the middle of the range.
