Tour guides will identify plants, offer historical <br /> information a ut Hendricks Park and answer gardening questions. <br /> Hendri ks Park is located on the eastern edge of Eugene's south hills ridgeline forest. <br /> The 77-acre p k contains an internationally recognized rhododendron garden, 200-year-old fir <br /> i <br /> trees and seve 1 hiking trails overlooking the Willamette River, the University of Oregon and <br /> the city of Eug ne. Founded in 1951 through the joint efforts of the American Rhododendron <br /> Society and th Eugene Parks Department, the 12-acre garden displays more than 6,000 <br /> ornamental pl is highlighting rhododendrons, azaleas, magnolias and viburnums. <br /> 'i Thep is accessible by car, bicycle or bus.
