The event is free and open to the public. <br /> Participants are asked to register by June 6 by phoning 465-2814. <br /> Citizens living near streams and bodies of water are encouraged to visually monitor the <br /> waterways on a weekly basis and report conditions of concern to the City. <br /> The workshop is sponsored by the Eugene Stream Team, a City of Eugene program that <br /> brings volunteers together to enhance local water quality and flood control and protect natural <br /> resources of streams, ponds and wetlands. The program is funded through stormwater user fees <br /> and is part of the City's Stormwater Management Program. <br /> For more information, call the Eugene Stream Team at 465-2814. Presentations for <br /> neighborhood watch groups or community organizations can easily be arranged. <br /> <br />
