I/I~~~///////`~~/ <br /> JULY 16, 1996 "Public Works <br /> Administration <br /> City of Eugene <br /> CONTACT: Bob Terrel, Project Manager, 687-5560 858 Pearl Street <br /> Eugene, OR 97401 <br /> From Public Information Section, 687-5523 (503) 687-5262 <br /> FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE <br /> MORE CLOSURES LISTED ON EAST 11TH AS PAVING CONTINUES <br /> Motorists will continue to encounter street closures and delays Wednesday and Thursday, <br /> July 17 and 18, as paving continues on East 11th Avenue between Franklin Boulevard and Pearl <br /> Street. <br /> The north lane on East 11th was paved Monday, bringing traffic to a standstill in several <br /> locations. The remaining two lanes are scheduled to be paved Wednesday, and police will again <br /> be on hand to direct traffic. Motorists are advised to give the project area a wide berth and use <br /> Franklin Boulevard or 18th Avenue as alternative routes. The best approach to Sacred Heart <br /> Medical Center is from the south, via 13th Avenue. <br /> On Thursday, High, Patterson, and Hilyard streets will be closed to through traffic from 7 <br /> a.m. to noon as the intersections of those streets at East 11th aze paved. Northbound traffic on <br /> High and Hilyazd will be directed onto East 11th and can use Oak Street as an alternative <br /> northbound route. Patterson Street will be closed at Franklin Boulevard, and southbound traffic <br /> can use Alder Street as a detour route. <br /> Tenth Avenue remains closed between High and Mill streets as sewer work continues. <br /> For up to date information about City construction projects, call the traffic relief hotline <br /> <br /> ~wrr at 984-8484. <br /> <br />
