i 0~ 31 ~~r ~ r~.,t~,. <br /> 1996 Leaf Pro ram Encourages Recycling <br /> Local residen are asked to "Turn Over an Old Leaf' and recycle their leaves as the 1996 fall <br /> leaf program ets under way. The goal of this effort is to reduce the volume of leaves placed in <br /> the streets an picked up by Public Works Maintenance. For those who are unable to recycle <br /> their leaves a mulch or compost, leaf collection service began Monday and will continue <br /> through Janu 3. <br /> Public outrea h this year included a 30-second video public service announcement currently <br /> being aired o a number of local TV stations, information sent to neighborhood newsletter <br /> ~ editors, sche les placed at a number of City locations, and an updated brochure. Copies of the <br /> brochure and eaf collection map have been placed in the Council office.
