The work will take <br /> approximately ne week to complete. During paving, traffic will be diverted into temporary <br /> lanes. Access rom the highway to adjacent streets and driveways will be temporarily restricted. <br /> Based schedule information from Wildish Construction, on Friday evening workers <br /> will prepare th north and south ends of the paving area by grinding off the top several inches of <br /> existing pavin . Beginning Monday evening, July 10, weather permitting, a final, three-inch- <br /> thick layer of sphaltic concrete will be applied to the travel lanes and shoulders. The paving <br /> ' operation is a ected to take five to six days to complete. <br /> At leas one lane in each direction will be open during paving. Most of the paving work <br /> will be done tween 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. Signs will be posted warning motorists of lane closures <br /> i <br /> and detours. otorists should use caution in the construction area, particularly when lane <br /> detours aze in effect and flaggers and construction workers are present. Motorists are encouraged <br /> to use Beltlin Road or the Northwest Expressway to avoid the work on Highway 99. <br /> Once aving is completed, all five lanes of the reconstructed highway generally will be <br /> reopened to affic. Occasional lane closures will be in effect for several weeks to allow striping, <br /> signal install ion, landscaping, and clean-up work. <br /> To ce ebrate the reopening of Highway 99, area merchants have planned a celebration in <br /> early August Aribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled August 4. <br /> I <br /> <br />
