O February 16, weather permitting, Seneca Road will be closed between Roosevelt <br /> Boulevard d First Avenue. On February 17, West Seventh Avenue will be closed from <br /> McKinley t Conger streets. Through traffic will be maintained on Wilson Street. <br /> At b th locations the closures will begin at 8:30 a.m., and the street will be reopened by <br /> 4 p.m. Det ur routes will be posted, and flaggers will help direct traffic around the construction <br /> ~ areas. Loc 1 businesses and the Lane Transit District have been notified of the closures. <br /> The repairs are necessary because the deteriorated crossings can cause safety problems for <br /> motorists d bicyclists who use Seneca Road and West Seventh Avenue. Eugene Sand & Gravel <br /> has been a arded a $23,000 contract to do the repair work. Southern Pacific has agreed to pay <br /> approxima 1y $14,000 of the repair cost, and the City of Eugene will pay the balance from its <br /> road main Hance fund. <br /> # # # <br /> <br />
