The popular event gives community residents a chance to learn first hand about <br /> i <br /> the many se vices provided by the Eugene Public Works Department everything from <br /> riverside bi e paths to high-tech airport facilities to wastewater treatment and stormwater <br /> <br /> ~ir protection t street construction and maintenance. <br /> Acti ides geared specially toward children include planting seeds, exploring the <br /> "Adventures of a Raindrop," racing through a sign course, and playing a "Stash Your Trash" <br /> game that o fers rewards for recycling. <br /> As al ays, lots of equipment will be on display, and a variety of exhibits will <br /> ~ illustrate thi year's theme, "Public Works: A Resource for Today's Environment." Guided <br /> tours, trailer rides, and free pop and popcorn are part of the fun and educational experience. <br /> Ther 's plenty of parking for cars and bicycles, with free bike stamping for riders who <br /> i <br /> ~ bring an Or on driver's license number.
