The <br /> Eugene Pu lic Works Department will administer the contract. The cost of the sidewalk, <br /> street lights street trees, and reconstruction of the alley between Willamette and Olive on the <br /> <br /> ~rr south side f the new U.S. Bank building will be paid through urban renewal funds. The cost <br /> of benches nd additional landscaping at the southwest corner of Eighth and Olive will be <br /> paid by Lo ig Associates, developer of the U.S. Bank project at Eighth and Willamette. <br /> i <br /> I <br /> A s ven-foot-wide sidewalk will be reconstructed on the south side of Eighth Avenue, <br /> I <br /> adjacent to the new U.S. Bank building. A total of five decorative cast iron street lights <br /> similar to t ose nn Olive and on the mall will be installed on the one-block section of Eighth <br /> I <br /> Avenue hree on the south side and t~vo on the north. Several street trees will be planted <br /> ~ along the s uth side of the street. A small area on the U.S. Bank site will be enhanced with <br /> i <br /> plantings a d a bench at the southeast corner of Eighth and Olive. <br /> i <br /> ~ Wo k is scheduled to begin within two weeks and is expected to be completed by the <br /> i <br /> end of Jun At least one travel lane on Eighth Avenue will remain open at all times. <br /> <br />
