~i <br /> Public Works <br /> Administration <br /> City of Eugene <br /> 858 Pearl Street <br /> SEPTEMBER 15, 1993 Eugene, OR 97401 <br /> (503) 687-5262 <br /> CONTACT: Paul Klope, Project Manager, 687-5246 <br /> From Public Information Section, 687-5523 <br /> FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE <br /> PAVING WORK SCHEDULED THURSDAY AND FRIDAY NIGHTS ON FERRY STREET BRIDGE <br /> Nighttime paving work on the Ferry Street Bridge is scheduled Thursday, <br /> September 16, and Friday, September 17. During the construction hours of 8 <br /> p.m. to 6:30 a.m., traffic will be limited to two lanes, and there will be <br /> intermittent closures. <br /> <br /> ~J On Thursday night, the contractor will pave the southbound lanes. The <br /> ~~r? bridge will be closed to southbound traffic for brief periods while paving <br /> work is being done in the area of the crossover lane detour. <br /> On Friday night, there will be intermittent bridge closures for <br /> northbound traffic while the Broadway and Seventh Avenue on-ramps are paved. <br /> Friday night prep football fans are reminded to use alternative routes to <br /> Autzen Stadium for the Marshfield-South Eugene early game and the <br /> Sheldon-North Eugene late game. <br /> Paving', is the last major portion of the bridge repair project that began <br /> about two weeks ago. Some clean-up work will be done next week, and <br /> motorists sjhould continue to be alert for lane closures and other <br /> constructiolh activities. <br /> i <br /> <br />
