"Pay attention to what you're doing," says <br /> Smith, w o has worked on the Wastewater Collection Crew for 19 years. "Pick <br /> up the d 's and the don'ts, and follow them." <br /> Smi h is one of 137 Maintenance employees who received one-year safety <br /> awards F bruary 18 from Maintenance Director Bob Hammitt at the division's <br /> 11th ann al safety award ceremony. Earning progressive pins were: Doug <br /> Clark and Jack Smith for 25 years without a lost-time accident; Ken Auxier, <br /> 20 years Jerry Fussell, Stan Ownbey, and Garry Keable, 15 years; Mike <br /> Bellmore Gene Hein, and J.J. Hill, 10 years; and Jeff Boehland, BJ Colwell, <br /> Linda Da nen, Ron Gillette, Glen Haldorson, Jack Long, Rebecca Mitchell, Zane <br /> Renfro, oily Spangler, and Donna Stark, 5 years. <br /> Eig t work groups were honored for going one year without a lost-time <br /> accident: Office & Records Section, Maintenance Planning/Technical Services <br /> Section, Fleet Services, Street Sanitation Crew, Wastewater Collection Crew, <br /> Turf & G ounds Crew, Landscape and Trees Crew, and the Riverfront Crew. <br /> Fleet Se vices has an outstanding lost-time record, considering the size of <br /> <br /> the work unit and the nature of the work.
