The week of August 22 Wildish wil!
install lar a sewer lines across the highway just north of Elmira Road and also near Fairfield
Avenue. he sewer crossings require closing portions of the highway, and the work will be
done at night to minimize traffic disruptions. Once the sewer crossings have been completed
and temp rary traffic lanes have been restriped, Wildish will widen the west side of the
highway o accommodate bicycle lanes and sidewalks. This will require closing the travel
Lane on t e west side of the highway for an extended period of time.
A least one lane will be kept open for traffic in each direction at all times. Most of
the time lane will also be provided for left turns. Reasonable access to businesses and
residence along Highway 99 will be maintained.
i _
Trough traffic can avoid the construction area by detouring onto Beltline Road and

i
Roosevei Boulevard. An alternative detour route on the east side of the construction area is
Northwe Expressway to Chambers Street.
Si ewalks will be installed on both sides of the highway later this year. The final
paving w rk is scheduled in i 995.
