Motorists are cautioned to be <br /> aware of new lane configurations. <br /> Fo the past several months, the contractor on the highway improvement project has <br /> been work ng on the east side of the highway. On Thursday night, the highway will be <br /> restriped t close the west travel lane and reopen the east lane. The highway will continue to <br /> provide t o lanes for northbound traffic, one lane for southbound traffic, and a middle lane <br /> for left to s. <br /> Co struction on the west side is expected to take several months to complete. The <br /> improvem nt project includes widening the road to accommodate a bicycle lane and <br /> sidewalks, installing traffic islands at several intersections, and repaving the heavily traveled <br /> state high ay. <br /> i <br /> <br />
