The paving process includes grinding <br /> off the exist' g surface, repaving the road, and installing new traffic signal detection loops. The work <br /> will require ighttime lane closures and is expected to take two weeks to complete. Motorists may <br /> encounter so a traffic delays until the highway restoration work is completed. <br /> Pavi g will start with the section from Sixth and Seventh avenues at High Street to Broadway <br /> at Kincaid. he grinding and paving will alternate between west- and eastbound lanes. Traffic will <br /> be temporari y detoured around Sixth or Seventh and High, and the Ferry Street bridge offramp. <br /> Weather pe fitting, work will continue along the eastbound lanes of Franklin and finish with the <br /> westbound l~nes. Inclement weather will delay the schedule. Depending on temperature and weather <br /> conditions, aytime paving may be required to finish the project. At least one lane will be kept open <br /> for traffic o the side being ground or paved. Two or three lanes of through traffic will be maintained <br /> on the other side of the highway. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes. <br /> Wil fish Construction, the general contractor for the $2.3 million sewer rehabilitation and <br /> paving proje t, has replaced the aged and deteriorated sanitary trunk sewer in Franklin Boulevard from <br /> Kincaid to alnut. The contractor also has installed sidewalk access ramps at most of the <br /> intersections along Franklin Boulevard. <br /> The roject is a cooperative effort involving the City of Eugene and the State of Oregon. <br /> Eugene is p ying for the sewer rehabilitation, and the Oregon Department of Transportation is funding <br /> the paving ork.
