The signal has <br /> been runni g on a timed cycle since construction on Franklin Boulevard began earlier this <br /> year. <br /> Th signal work is one of the final steps in the project, which included rehabilitating <br /> sanitary se ers and repaving the state highway. The project is a cooperative effort involving <br /> the City o Eugene and the State of Oregon. Eugene is paying for the sewer rehabilitation, <br /> and appro imately $500,000 in state highway preservation funds was used for the paving <br /> ' portion of he contract. The Eugene Public Works Department is administering the contract. <br /> <br />
