The trees, which are 60- to 100-feet-tall, are in the West Park block. <br /> The enclos flier shows the specific locations (marked with an ~ of the trees to be <br /> removed. a removal is scheduled for the week of November 28. <br /> Mari Kram ,the acting forestry agent at the local OSU Extension Service office, and I <br /> conducted ' dependent inspections of these trees, and we agreed they all have extensive <br /> brown rot, condition which decays the heartwood of living cedars. These four trees have <br /> only 1 1/2" to 2" of solid wood under the bark, the rest of the wood is decayed.
