The <br /> neighborhoo s are in the Bethel and Willakenzie areas, where development has brought about changes <br /> in traffic flo on several streets. <br /> In B thel-Danebo, stop signs will be placed at the following locations: northbound Rutledge <br /> Street at Wo d Avenue; westbound Wood Avenue at Nebraska Street; eastbound Hilton Drive at <br /> Nebraska St et; Elizabeth Street at Marcum Lane; and the north intersection of Hilton Drive at <br /> Elizabeth St eel. A yield sign will be installed at the south intersection of Elizabeth Street at Hilton <br /> <br /> ~r?. <br /> Drive and other on Nebraska Street at Marcum Lane. <br /> Mot rists also should be on the lookout for changes being made along Clinton Drive in the <br /> Willakenzie ea. Stop signs are being installed on Butte Lane, Naomi Court, Valley Butte Drive, and <br /> the Clinton rive cul de sac. <br /> The Eugene Public Works each year receives hundreds of requests for traffic control changes. <br /> Requests ar evaluated to see if they will help improve the safety and efficiency of the local <br /> transportati system. Proposals that meet federal guidelines may result in new control signs at <br /> intersection or other locations on city streets. In addition to the changes being made in the Bethel <br /> and Willake zie areas, new traffic controls are scheduled to be installed this month at several other <br /> intersection around the City in response to citizen requests or staff recommendations. <br /> For more information about intersection controls, call the Eugene Public Works Transportation <br /> Division at 87-5218. <br /> <br />
