The $393,000 <br /> project is the first phase of a two-year project to improve Centennial. The <br /> first phas of construction will be completed by the first week of September. <br /> The second phase will begin next summer and will run between Autzen Stadium <br /> <br /> ~r and I-5. <br /> Durin the construction this summer, the contractor will resurface the <br /> i road and i stall curb, gutter, and sidewalks along the north side of <br /> ~ Centennial Boulevard. Part of the project includes removing a pump station, <br /> located on the southeast side of the Club Road and Centennial intersection, <br /> and installing new gravity sanitary sewer lines. <br /> Accor ing to Tom Larsen, from the Public Works Department, the city is <br /> having the pump station removed and the new gravity lines installed to reduce <br /> maintenanc problems and operating costs associated with the pump station. <br /> The new li es will feed directly into the North Bank Interceptor that runs <br /> along the orth side of the Willamette Riveer to the Eugene/Springfield <br /> Wastewater Treatment Plant. <br /> more <br /> <br />
