The <br /> fee, calle a facility equalization charge, would be charged when a new sewer <br /> user or de elopment is assessed or connects to the regional sanitary sewer <br /> i <br /> ~ system. 0 ly new sewer connections and new development would be charged. If <br /> adopted, t e fee would go into effect immediately. <br /> Durin 1991, the proposed base charge for a single-family dwelling would <br /> be X202, p us a X10 connection charge to cover MWMC's administrative costs, <br /> making a o e-time charge of X212. Owners of businesses, apartment buildings, <br /> or industr al facilities may pay more, depending on the number of plumbing <br /> fixtures i the building or the average monthly water usage. The fee would <br /> be calcula ed annually by the MWMC and would be collected by the city of <br /> i <br /> Eugene at he time a property was assessed or upon application for a sanitary <br /> sewer conn ction permit.
