The work <br /> I <br /> ":will be com leted by noon that day. <br /> According to Joe Hessler, project designer, motorists are using 5th and <br /> ith avenues between Garfield and Bailey Hill to reach the Bailey Hill area <br /> <<nd avoid t e congestion on west 11th. The new signs and turn lanes reflect <br /> =t:hese changing traffic patterns and will help east and west bound traffic on <br /> 5th move mo a safely and smoothly through the intersection. <br /> In ad ition to the stop sign changes, the city also will realign and <br /> r•estripe so a lanes. Crews will remove the west bound left turn lane on 5th <br /> ~~venue, res ripe McKinley to have two north bound lanes and one south bound <br /> lane, restripe 5th Avenue east of Highway 99 North to provide a new north <br /> t,ound left urn lane onto the 99 Access Road, and do some minor restri_ping of <br /> ',ith Avenue. <br /> Tempor ry warning signs to alert motorists to the new controls will be <br /> F?osted 200 eet before the approaches to the intersection. The warning signs <br /> will remain in place for 30 to 60 days. Hessler said warning signs are <br /> ,.installed w enever major intersection control changes are made to ensure <br /> <br /> ,.i motorists a e aware of the modifications. <br /> E <br /> <br />
