Airport <br /> officials a plied for the grant in March of this year, receiving assistance <br /> from Congre sman Peter DeFazio. <br /> "I am ery pleased for the people of Eugene," said Congressman DeFazio. <br /> "They worke long and hard on this project and deserve a lot of credit for its <br /> success. T e entire Willamette Valley transportation system will benefit from <br /> their effor s." <br /> The up ated Master Plan will address, among other things, proposals for a <br /> new paralle runway, an extension of the existing main runway, and evaluation <br /> ~ ~ of the acce s road system. In addition, new aviation demand forecasts will be <br /> developed t determine the increased levels of passenger and aircraft activity <br /> more . <br /> ~ <br /> <br />
