The work will continue through <br /> August. <br /> Last week, construction crews began preparing the roads by grinding <br /> off rough edges and sealing cracks in the street surface. When prepatory work <br /> is comple ed, an overlay of hot asphalt (300-360 degrees) will be applied. <br /> During the overlay, streets will be closed and no parking signs posted. After <br /> the asphal has cooled, which takes approximately 4 hours, the street will be <br /> reopened. No overnight closures are expected, but according to Public Works <br /> spokespers n, Ivan Koehn, if property owners will need their cars, they <br /> should mov them from the street and park them outside the work area. <br /> <br /> I <br /> Folio ing is the schedule for street preparation and resurfacing: <br /> Au ust 20-21 Cal Young between Coburg Road and Gilham <br /> Gilham between Cal Young and Beltline <br /> Au ust 22 Oakmont Way between Coburg Road and Oakway <br /> Au ust 25 City View between 11th and 14th Streets <br /> I Au ust 26 24th Street between Polk and Friendly <br /> Au ust 27 Donald Street between 32nd and 36th Streets <br /> Au ust 28 Amazon Parkway between 19th and 24th Streets <br /> The old ro dbed on Amazon Parkway and 24th Street will be completely removed <br /> and resurf ced. <br /> Publi Works reconditions and resurfaces city streets as part of its <br /> annual capital improvement program. <br /> END <br /> <br />
