Under the new system, inspection requests called in <br /> <br /> i <br /> before 7: 0 a.m. will be scheduled for that day, and requests called in <br /> after 7:3 a.m. will be scheduled for the following day. The division will <br /> continue o respond to emergency inspections, as requested. <br /> Acco ding to Larry Reed, city building official, construction activity is <br /> <br /> j ( expected o increase more than 100 percent during the 1987 construction <br /> <br /> a <br /> season an will substantially increase field inspection requests. The new <br /> <br /> it <br /> process w 11 ensure the building division can cover all requests in a timely <br /> manner, R ed said. <br /> "Wit the new method, inspectors can coordinate the sequence of <br /> inspectio s before leaving the office, balance inspection loads between <br /> geographi al areas, and plan their day ahead of time.
