I <br /> March 30, 1987 <br /> NEWS RELEASE <br /> i <br /> j CONTACT: Keith Pearson, Transportation Technician, 687-5218 <br /> Sandra Gleason, Public Information, 6897-5523 <br /> STREETS CONVERTED TO FOUR-WAY STOPS <br /> On T esday, March 31, city of Eugene public works' crews will install <br /> four-way top signs at the intersections of Seneca and 7th Avenue and at Agate <br /> ~ Street an 15th Avenue; both intersections previously had two-way stop signs <br /> for east nd west traffic. <br /> Acco ding to Keith Pearson, public porks transportation technician, the <br /> ~ four-way top sign at 7th and Seneca is an interium measure and a new traffic <br /> signal wi 1 be installed within the next two years. Pearson said public <br /> <br /> i' <br /> works is nstalling the four-way stop at Agate Street and 15th Avenue to <br /> handle th increase in traffic expected when the University of Oregon closes <br /> <br /> { <br /> 13th Aven a between Agate and University Street. <br /> ~ Inst llation will begin at approximately 8:30 a.m. and will be completed <br /> by the en of the day; only minor traffic delays are expected. <br /> i <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />
