Pavement Testing <br /> Prior to ompleting design of reconstruction and overlay projects this year <br /> pavement esting will be done on each street by Pavement Services Inc.. The <br /> streets t be tested include the following: <br /> I E. 13th Ave., Kincaid to Willamette ~v <br /> Ch tubers St., 8th to 11th ~ ~j~ <br /> j Ce tenni al Blvd. , Patterson Bridge to Coburg Rd~~.. ~ 113 <br /> Valley River Way, Valley River Dr. to south enr~L// <br /> Valley River Dr., Valley River Way to Goodpasture Island Rd. <br /> Co urg Rd., Oakway Rd. to Ferry St. Bridge 3S'~~~ <br /> * Silver Ln., River Rd. to Grove <br /> * Wo d St., Gilbert to Archie <br /> <br /> ii <br /> The first phase of testing will be nondestructive testing using a deflectometer <br /> pulled behind a van. Testing is done in the outside wheel path of each lane at <br /> intervals of 200 feet. Tests at each interval take about 2 minutes each. The <br /> schedule or nondestructive testing is March 21~ and 28,. <br /> v <br /> Phase two f the testing includes potholing in two locations at 13th and one <br /> location a Chambers and pulling one core sample per block for each of the <br /> streets on the list. The consultant will backfill, compact, and temporary <br /> patch all he holes with cold mix. The schedule for potholing and coring is the <br /> week of Ma ch 27 thru the week of April 3. The consultant will obtain approved <br /> traffic co trol plans for each street for each phase of the testing from <br /> Transports ion. They plan to submit plans for approval on March 20. Final <br /> patching o the of the test holes and core holes is by Maintenance, however <br /> patching o E. 13th and on Chambers should not be necessary unless the cold mix <br /> kicks out, because these streets will be reconstructed completely. The location <br /> of the hol s to be repaired will be provided to Maintenance by PSI. <br /> Liability 'nsurance in the amounts required by the City's standard contract <br /> provisions will be carried by PSI. <br /> i Please con ider this memo Engineering's permit application for this work in the <br /> right of w y.
