North and <br /> t <br /> <br /> ~r and sout bound lanes between 5th Avenue and Beltline will be alternately <br /> closed t allow technicians to inspect and sample the pavement and soil. <br /> Some tra fic delays may occur and motorists are urged to drive with caution <br /> ~ and use lternate routes when possible. <br /> The r habilitation project is a joint effort by the State of Oregon and <br /> the City of Eugene. Highway 99 was last improved by the State in 1955 and <br /> 1956, wh n it was widened. Since then, the State has resurfaced and <br /> performe routine maintenance. The improved highway will be widened to <br /> accommodate bike lanes, sidewalks, and curbs and gutters on both sides of <br /> the road ay. <br /> <br />
