They were to review the <br /> consultan 's recommendations for the theme, logo, slogan, design, <br /> installat on, and maintenance of the four signs and were to submit their <br /> recommend tions to the Mayor for approval. Second, they were to spearhead a <br /> fund rais ng effort to raise the funds and/or materials needed to construct <br /> i <br /> the four igns. The committee is now in the process of raising funds and <br /> donations of materials. Dick Booth, a local business person, is chair of the <br /> committee <br /> The ity paid the cost for the design of the signs, and will oversee <br /> their con truction and maintenance. Based on estimates received during the <br /> request f r proposal phase, construction costs are expected to be about <br /> $60,000. <br /> The oal of the CSAC and city is to have the signs in place in time for <br /> the Eugen Celebration this fall. <br /> <br />
