The section of trail was <br /> closed th ee-and-a-half months ago during the construction of the Fourth <br /> Avenue pl za near EWEB. <br /> The laza was designed in coordination with the EWEB facility to give <br /> people in the downtown area easy pedestrian access to the Willamette River <br /> and the r ver front path system. <br /> John Etter, project manager for the Fourth Avenue plaza construction, <br /> <br /> ~ urged bic clists to watch for pedestrians in the area. The plaza is now a <br /> pedestria zone and bicyclists are required to yield to pedestrians. <br /> <br /> i <br /> The S uth Bank Trail is part of the city's 77-mile bike path system. <br /> <br />
