During Saturday's paving, both <br /> Pearl and High Streets between Seventh Avenue and Broadway will be completely <br /> ~ closed to through traffic, and motorists will be detoured around the area. <br /> Eighth Av nue will be reopened beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday evening, <br /> completin the first phase of the project. Work will continue on the <br /> I~ sidewalks and parking lot entrances over the next several weeks but no delays <br /> to traffi are expected. <br /> Phas two of the project, reconstruction of East Broadway between Pearl <br /> Street an Franklin Boulevard, will begin on Tuesday, September 5 and will <br /> continue ntil October 22. Crews will barricade the street beginning at 5 <br /> a.m. on T esday morning, completely closing the project area to through <br /> traffic. Two lanes of traffic will be kept open on Pearl and High Streets; <br /> i <br /> west boun traffic onto Broadway from Franklin Boulevard will be detoured to <br /> Sixth Ave ue.
