The <br /> stockpile was moved on Tuesday to make room for the construction of a new <br /> <br /> ~ specializ d recreation center near the Amazon Pool. The contractor will need <br /> the parki g area to park construction vehicles. <br /> The ew<dump site in Alton Baker Park will be located south of the canoe <br /> channel a d in the south east cornner of the parking lot on the east side of <br /> Day Islan Road. Maintenance Supervisor Richard Zucker said that as drivers <br /> enter the park from Club Road, the new stockpile will be located to their <br /> left. Ac ess to the stockpile of leaves in Alton Baker will be open December <br /> 20 throng January 5. "The site is for leaves only; no Christmas trees, <br /> please," ucker added. <br /> City crews have begun their final round of leaf pick up for this year. <br /> Zucker ur ed residents to put their leaves in the street the weekend before <br /> their sch doled pickup date, since crews would not be able to return after <br /> the final round of collection. <br /> w.., <br /> Call 87-5220 for more information. <br /> <br />
