~- <br />AMENDMENT ONE <br />of <br />~• PERSONAL SERVICES CONTRACT 2003-00223 <br />between <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE a municipal corporation and PBS Engineering & Environmental <br />For the EUGENE DEPOT project <br />The above referenced Personal Services Contract Between Owner and Architect is amended in the following manner. <br />1. Part 1-SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />This amendment adds to the above referenced contract the following consulting services specifically for the Eugene <br />Depot asbestos abatement, consisting of Bid Period Consulting, Project Management, and Monitoring. The asbestos <br />abatement project contemplated is to remove ail asbestos containing materials in the building or abate them iti order <br />tk~at rehabilitation of the Depot can be properly executed. <br />1.1 Bid/Quotation Period: PBS will prepare a scope of work and an asbestos abatement drawing to be inserted in <br />the City's Request for Quotation document. PBS will review the RFQ and the project requirements, attend the pre-bid <br />walkthrough, and review contractor submittals. <br />1.2 Construction Period: PBS will conduct periodic site inspections during the hours that the Contractor is onsite <br />to ensure that the project requirements aze followed. PBS will be available to respond to emergency situation where <br />the work azea has been breached. At the conclusion of the removal and abatement process, PBS will conduct a visual <br />inspection of the work area to verify completion of the specified scope of work, and conduct cleazance testing. <br />2. Part 2 -TIME FOR COMPLETION <br />The contractor shall commence the work upon notification and proceed with the work in a timely fashion: <br />2.1 to facilitate the production schedule of the separate Eugene Depot Rehabilitation project contract documents. <br />2.2 to facilitate the quotation bidding schedule of the work of this amendment for contractor selection for the <br />abatement work. <br />2.3 and to facilitate quotation bidding lead time of the work of this amendment to coordinate with the construction <br />schedule for the Eugene Depot Rehabilitation. <br />3. Part 3 -CONSIDERATION: <br />Amend the consideration for the work of this amendment to be on a Time and Materials Not to Exceed basis.
