i <br />PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT CONTRACT <br />BETWEEN: The City of Eugene, an Oregon <br />Municipal Corporation (City) <br />AND: Eugene Sand & Gravel, Inc. (Contractor) <br />CONTRACT NO.: 2003-00311 <br />JOB NO.: 3825 <br />PROJECT: Eugene Depot; Minor Site Repair located at 433 Street, Eugene, OR 97401 <br />RECITALS <br />Contractor was the successful bidder for construction of the improvements described in this contract . <br />The City desires to engage Contractor to provide services and Work described in this agreement and <br />Contractor is willing to perform Work on the terms and conditions set forth herein. The following are <br />attached and incorporated as a part of this contract: <br />Exhibit A -The City of Eugene Standard Contract Provisions <br />Exhibit B -Certificate of BidderlContractor Employee Drug Testing Program <br />Exhibit C -Prevailing Wage Rates for Public Works Contracts in Oregon <br />AGREEMENT <br />1. Work to be Performed. Contractor agrees to furnish all labor, material and equipment for and to <br />construct the improvement listed above (the Project): <br />1. l Remove/torch off four bollards, one tube steel pedestal, one white signpost to grade; patch <br />paving to match existing. <br />l .2 Remove small traffic island, lower one monitoring well-head approximately 6 inches to <br />maintain well uncontaminated from lowering operation, and patch paving to match existing. <br />1.3 Remove one elongated concrete planter with poles, etc. and patch paving to match existing. <br />1.4 Pave or patch 11 locations (including under old planter). This work involves some minor <br />excavation at some of the 11 locations. <br />1.5 Provide all traffic safety measures and signage necessary. <br />Time of Commencement and Completion. Contractor will commence the Work upon receipt of <br />signed contract, and complete the Work within three weeks of the effective date of this agreement <br />which is the latest date of signature by the parties. Coordinate construction to avoid conflict with <br />Amtrak operations and allow Diamond Parking to provide advance notice to parking patrons. <br />Contract Sum. The Contract Sum shall not exceed $3,400.00, which consists of unit prices bid by <br />Contractor multiplied by estimated quantities, together with lump sum amounts for portions of the <br />Work.
