We understand that <br /> URS Corporation modeled the 10-year design storm event and determined that overbank and <br /> roadway flooding occurs. They recommended that the existing 24" pipe between West 37"` and <br /> Frederick Court be abandoned in favor of a new open channel through the common properly of the <br /> local homeowners association. The existing open waterway would also be modified from 0+00 to <br /> 1+15 and from 3+50 to 4+80. The intent of the described work is to evaluate the potential for erosion <br /> and propose environmentally acceptable solutions, if required. <br /> With your permission, we have included Inter-Fluve, Inc. (I~ as a subconsultant on this project. <br /> AGI/CDM will gather basic soils data and IF will work directly with the City on erosion protection <br /> and stream enhancement options. You reviewed their web page to validate their qualifications as <br /> fluvial geomorphologists. In addition, please note that our parent company, Camp Dresser Mckee, <br /> has retained Inter-Fluve as submnsultant for an urban stream enhancement project in Milwaukee, <br /> Wisrnnsin (Lincoln Creek Flood Control Management Design) as described on www.interfluve.rnm. <br /> The scope of work for the project is presented in two phases, Phase 1 Preliminary Design and Phase 2 <br /> Design. <br /> PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Phase 1 Preliminaru Design <br /> Task 1-Site Visit- We propose that a representative from AGI/CDM and IF attend a meeting with <br /> City personnel to visit the site, gather pertinent data, and review the snipe of work outlined in this <br /> proposal Revise the snipe of work and cost estimate, if necessary. <br /> 11811 N.E. 1st Street, Suite 201 ¦ Bellevue, Wuhington 98005 • P.O.
