Storm Drainage System Improvements
i
E
Dear Steve,
t
i
This letter proposal represents our proposed Scope of Services and cost estimate to provide a .
~ hydrologic hydraulic analysis and preliminary design of drainage system improvements for the
Frederick Ct. storm drainage system. The Scope of Services describes our approach to provide a
hydraulic analysis of the storm drainage system from Monroe St. to its outfall into Amazon Creek.
Based on the results of the hydraulic analysis, we will complete a preliminary design of drainage
system improvements. This letter proposal contains the following information:
• Our understanding of the existing flooding problems
• scope of services for the hydraulic analysis and preliminary design
• City services required
• project lead person and technical support staff
• estimate of hours and costs by task to complete the scope of work
• schedule of work
i
EXISTING CONDITIONS
The Frederick Ct. stormwater drainage system, located in the Amazon Creek Basin, originates at
i the City limits along Sundial and W. 40`h. The drainage system upstream of Frederick Ct. is a
combination of pipes and open waterways. Near W. 34~' and Olive, the drainage system is piped
until its outfall into Amazon Creek. Piped segments adjacent to Delwood Drive and between W.
37`h and Frederick Ct. appear to constrict flows from upstream development. In addition, several
of the open waterway segments do not have adequate access for maintenance. In response to these
problems, we have developed the following scope of work and cost estimate:
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Task 1-Frederick Ct. Storm Drainage System Analysis
Objective: Develop ahydrologic/hydraulic model of the Frederick Ct. drainage system. Use the
model to complete a hydraulic analysis of the drainage system. Identify pipe segments or open
waterways that do not have adequate capacity.
