Skinner Butte Park <br /> Habitat Inventory and Assessment <br /> Contract: 2002 - 05315 <br /> Ezhibit B - Scope of Services <br /> Services to be Provided <br /> The contractor agrees to provide the City with the following services: <br /> <br /> A.. Habitat Inventory (spring-summer 2002) <br /> 1. Describe and map inventory zones, based on Skinner Butte Park Master Plan (SBPMP) <br /> guidelines as generally described by the Habitat Management Units (I-I1VIUs). <br /> 2. Install 10 - 15 permanent monitoring plots in late May/eazly June in HMUs similar to <br /> those established for the Hendricks Park Forest Management Plan (so as to maximise <br /> data compatibility). Adapt plot methodology for application/installation in upland prairie <br /> habitats (2 or 3 of the 10-15 plots). At least 3 plots will be installed on the north slope <br /> forest in and/or near the Cimicifuga elata population so as to include it in ongoing <br /> monitoring. <br /> 3. Describe and map plant communities present, and note any Oregon Natural Heritage <br /> Program (ORNHP) -listed raze communities <br /> 4. Vascular plant and fungi survey <br /> a. Identify and map endangered, threatened or rare species, using ORNHP and <br /> Emerald Chapter Native Plant Society of Oregon (NPSO) lists (verify/amend <br /> existing Ed Alverson map of Cimicifuga elata); and prepare sighting reports for <br /> any ORNHP-listed species encountered; of particular interest will be surveys to <br /> attempt to relocate an historical population of Aster vialis on the Butte. <br /> b. Map (or note locations, if mapping is infeasible for numerous, scattered <br /> populations) invasive species using Emerald Chapter NPSO list (including, but <br /> not limited to: false brome, English ivy, English hawthorn, Armenian <br /> (Himalayan) blackberry, Scot's broom, English laurel, Mazzazd cherry, Norway <br /> maple and reed canarygrass). Map products shall be black and white, <br /> reproducible drawings on a to-scale Site plan. The City will provide original site <br /> plan drawings for mapping purposes. <br /> c. List potentially-occurring rare plant and fungi species by habitat type <br /> d. Develop a comprehensive vascular plant and fungi species list by zone <br /> 5. Wildlife survey <br /> a. Install 6 to 8 permanent plots for breeding bird point counts (to begin <br /> immediately) <br /> b. Record herptile and mammal sightings (incidental sightings during bird and plant <br /> surveys) <br /> <br />
