The Task Order was prepared in
accordance with the Cooperative Agreement, dated July 17, 2000, between the U.S. Army Corps
of Engineers and the City of Eugene for the collection of native plant materials for the Amazon
Creek Section 1135 Project (encl 2).
Under the Cooperative Agreement, the city may use its specialized expertise, staff and
facilities to collect, grow-out, store, transport, clean, and propagate native seeds and plant
materials required for the project. The Cooperative Agreement also allows us to use city
resources to treat the project area for invasive non-native species. The Corps agees to reimburse
the City for the cost associated with that work. Specific tasks to be accomplished under the
Cooperative Agreement will be spelled out in individual Task Orders. This work
is integral to the continuation of Phase II of project construction continuing this summer and fall.
Funds totaling $70,000 have been obligated to cover that work.
ffthe Task Order is acceptable, please sign and return it to us as soon as possible.
