AMENDMENT NO. 1 <br /> TO <br /> City of Eugene Contract No. 2004-05305 <br /> This Amendment is made to the West Eugene Wetlands Program Seedling Planting Contract between <br /> the City of Eugene (City) and Thompson Landscape Co. (Contractor). <br /> City and Contractor mutually agree to amend section 0200 of exhibit B of the contract referenced above <br /> as follows: <br /> <br /> The amendment adjusts (a) the timing of planting, (b) adds Aster hallii to the species list at the same <br /> <br /> planting cost rate and (c) adjusts the quantities and species of seedlings to be planted as noted below. <br /> The amendment will not result in any changes to the overall contract dollar amount since the overall <br /> <br /> number of seedlings to be planted remains the same. <br /> Changes are emboldened. <br /> (a) Plantin tg iming <br /> Except as otherwise approved in writing by the City, planting shalt be performed in two phases. <br /> The first phase shall commence within 10 business days after notification to proceed is provided <br /> by project manager and shall be completed no later than December ls~, 2003. The second phase <br /> shall also commence within 10 business days after notification to proceed is provided by project <br /> manager and shall be completed no later than May ls`, 2004. In both cases, Contractor shall be <br /> given notice at least 20 business days to perform the work prior to the required completion date. <br /> (b) Aster hallii <br /> As replacement for reduced seedling quantities of certain species, approximately 600 Aster hallii <br /> seedlings are being added to the species list. They will be planted at a rate of $0.86 per seedling. <br /> The overall added cost of these 600 seedlings is offset by reductions in quantities of other species <br /> resulting in no net change to the contract amount. <br /> ~c) Seedling Quantities and Locations <br /> All planting locations and approximate total quantities remain as described in Contract No. 2004-05305, <br /> although exact species, quantities, and timing of planting for each species have been amended as <br /> described below based on expected quantities of plants available. Species, quantities, and timing of <br /> planting noted at the Danebo site remain unchanged. Species, quantities, and timing of planting at the <br /> Meadowlark Prairie site are approximately as follows. Amended items are highlighted in bold font. <br /> Meadowlark Prairie (see Map 3 for approximate planting locations) <br /> 17,450 plugs shall be planted in mapped and flagged locations as specified in Map 3. Prior to <br /> planting, the Contractor's field. supervisor shall verify planting locations in the field with the <br /> City's contract manager, Trevor Taylor (682-4880) or other designated representative of the <br /> City. The following listed species and quantities are to be planted in planting areas. <br /> Excepting Sidalcea species, Lupinus species, Aster hallii and Wyethia angustifolia, all other <br /> species shall be clustered with 6-9 plugs of a similar species per grouping.
