Kinney Park Channel Restoration Project, Scope of Work Page 7
, Pacific Water Resources, Inc.
described below. One draft submittal will be provided for City review (as a concept
sketch) prior to submittal with the Predesign Report.
9. Identi,
fy Data Gaps. Based on the work accomplished in the tasks above, identify
where additional information is required. This activity will also inform the City as to
the need for the work and the level of effort required to obtain the information. We
anticipate reporting on the data gaps with the Predesign Report below.
10. Prepare Predesign Report and Recommendations. This report will summarize the
entire Predesign Phase of work. It will identify the investigations and studies
performed and the recommended project configuration plus one alternative, if
appropriate. We anticipate that this report will be approximately 10-15 pages in
length and contain at least one graphic. A draft will be submitted for review.
Comments received from the City will be incorporated into a final submittal.
11. Identify Next Phase Activities. Based on the information obtained from the Predesign
Phase, and the approved project configuration, prepare an outline of tasks suitable for
accomplishing the Preliminary Design Phase. At a minimum, the activities will
include development of design information and construction documents to
approximately 40% completion. This activity will include coordination with the City
to refine the work scope as directed.
12. Allow for Potential Revisions. This task provides a contingency to study issues or
alternatives in detail which may not be currently identified. If during the course of
these investigations issues arise which 'are not specifically within this work scope, this
task provides the flexibility for incorporating this effort into the study. As such, this
task is consistent with our approach allowing the City flexibility in adjusting this
scope of work in response to new information. No work will be charged against this
task without specific written authorization from the City.
13. Project Coordination. This task will provide project management and coordination
activities for the duration of the Predesign Phase. These services will include
preparation of monthly progress reports documenting the percent complete and the
amount currently billed as well as total to date for each activity.
Deliverables
• Statement of Project Goals (submitted with final Predesign Report)
• Memo Regarding Hydrologic/Hydraulic Model Reviews
• Summary of Geomorphic Investigations (submitted with the Predesign
Report)
• Draft and Final List of Project Elements (final list to be documented in the
Predesign Report)
• Summary of Meeting Discussions with Regulatory Reviewers
• List of Data Gaps and Recommendations for Obtaining Required Data
(submitted as part of the Predesign Report)
• Draft Predesign Report
• Final Predesign Report
• List of Activities (i.e., scope of work) for the Preliminary Design Phase
• Monthly Progress Reports

1~ PACIFIC
WATER RESOURCES, INC.
