Scope of Work CH2MHILL
Initial Project Task Work and Scope Development for
the Polk Street Outfall Project # 3984
PREPARED FOR: Terry Colvin/City of Eugene
PREPARED BY: Mark Bransom/CH2M HILL
DATE: September 21, 2004
DESCRIPTION
The purpose of the tasks described in this document is to undertake critical initial project
tasks leading to development of a comprehensive scope of work, schedule, and project

budget for the Polk Street Outfall project, City project #3984. Much previous work has been
completed on this project; to ensure that the CH2M HILL project team is familiar with that
work, we propose to assemble and review relevant existing information. Subsequent to a
review of project information we propose to hold a scoping meeting with City staff.
Following the scoping meeting, CH2M HILL will prepare a detailed scope of work, project
schedule, and project budget, based on a full understanding of past efforts, and the City's
goals and objectives for the current work.
TASKS
Task 1. Compile and Review Existing Background Information
Task 1.1- CH2M HILL will work with City staff to identify and compile existing
information held by the City related to past studies, evaluations, site conditions, and other
materials relevant to the current work. These materials may include: aerial photography,
topographic and other mapping, reports, logs, as-built and other drawings for existing
development, utility plans for proposed developments or redevelopment, the current
stormwater management master plan, water quality data, and other relevant information. It
is assumed that the City of Eugene will provide CH2M HILL with copies of information
determined by the project team to be relevant.
CH2M HILL will review the existing background information to gain an understanding of
site conditions, previous work, and potential constraints and opportunities for consideration
in an alternatives analysis. In addition, discussions maybe held with various City staff who
hold knowledge regarding site conditions, previous work, and potential constraints and
opportunities for consideration in an alternatives analysis. Discussions with City staff will
be arranged through the City Project Manager.
PDXIPOLK ST OUTFACE SCOPE DEVELOPMENT.DOC 1
