~iOU 2 $ 20D5 <br /> <br /> V <br /> CH2MHILL <br /> Polk Street Outfall Storrnwater Quality Project <br /> City of Eugene Project Number 3984 <br /> Monthly Narrative Report <br /> Reporting Period: September 30, 2005 through October 28, 2005 <br /> Prepared by: Mark Bransom <br /> Work Accomplished During the Reporting Period <br /> • Responded to City requests for additional information in two areas: research and <br /> conceptual development of a design for a closing gate in the vault, and research <br /> and calculations for expected sediment removal efficiency of the proposed <br /> treatment system. <br /> • Completed scoping for geotechnical investigation <br /> • Project Management <br /> Work Planned for next Reporting Period <br /> • Continue value engineering of vault design for construction cost savings <br /> • Prepare contract amendment to reflect desired vault design and expected effort <br /> to complete plan documents. <br /> • Begin 95% design package for the vault for final City review <br /> Key Assumptions, Decisions, Problems, and Possible Changes <br /> • Schedule for construction of the vault has been delayed until summer 2006 to take <br /> advantage of low water table and favorable construction conditions. <br /> • As indicated in the contract amendment scope and budget estimate, an assessment of <br /> the adequacy of the design budget would be done. As the vault design advances we <br /> continue to assess the changes in the level of design detail required and remaining <br /> budget.
