Cc' MUMAU Cindy J
Subject: RE: Map for the Delta Ponds project
Colene:
I've checked with the City folks who have current contracts with LCOG and it's our preference that we handle this
proposed work separately since it is not related (funding-wise) to the work you are doing for them. If it works on your
end we can handle this work on the Delta Ponds project on an informal agreement, not-to-exceed basis and you can

just invoice me for the work. The mapping work that we'd like to have done by your team involves:
• Producing a map of the Delta Ponds project area similar to the ones produced for other park sites for the City's
website, but specifically designed for use with our permit applications.
• Once this map has been produced, we will want to make a second version for use on the City's website.
• It is very likely that we will also need a third generation of the map, to be used for project signs.
Given that we are certain about our immediate need for the first version of the map, are you comfortable providing me
with an estimate for that work as a place to start? Once the first map is done, if you can provide an estimate for the
additional work to produce the website map, we can agree to have that done and then proceed in a similar manner for
any subsequent work. We can renegotiate the not-to-exceed amount as necessary as/if the scope of the work
increases.
If this approach sounds workable to you, please provide an estimate for the first phase of the work. I will review the
estimate and respond in writing and we can get started.
Thanks for your help with this project,
Kevin Finney, Principal Landscape Architect
City of Eugene
Public Works Engineering
541-682-6018
-----Original Message-----
From: DOLL Colene A
Sent: Monday, November 17, 2003 4:38 PM
To: FINNEY Kevin P
Subject: RE: Map for the Delta Ponds project
Thanks Kevin. I will ask Sarah to let you know what base maps worked best for her on the POS web work.
I talked with Linda C. and she will need to have the existing City of Eugene contract amended to increase the
amount. We have spent all that was allocated to us for the POS work. I will ask Sarah how much time she thinks
this map will take and will probably budget an hour of Theron's time for review/proofing. Does that work for you?
Sarah can still start the work on this map while we deal with the amendment to the contract so we can meet your
deadline.
I will send you an estimate tomorrow. I'm pleased that you can take on this project. I'll wait to hear from you on how to handle the contract
end of the work. I'm not sure what Sarah has been working from for the POS maps, but we have lots of maps,
2
