How I got there was...
Vac-X discharged into the EBI ww pipe on Goodpasture Island Road Saturday July 28th from about 9:30 to
12:30. Their average pump rate was 80 gpm.
So I figure
3 hours x 60 min/hr = 180 min
180 minx 80 gal /min = 14,400 gals
They also had a few periods in that time that they pumped about 200 gpm. I'd estimate total time of that was 30
minutes. It was during the 3 hours so...
120 gal/minx 30 min =3,600 gals
Together that makes 18,000 gallons, at $3.00/1000 gal I get $54.
Did I calc that right?
The Delta Ponds project will pay this cost by Journal Entry. Tammy Smith is willing to do it if we can tell her the
account the funds should get transferred to. Or, if someone in WW wants to do the AJE then they can take the
$54 out of 531-9332-61739.
Tammy and Scott should get a record of the AJE if you do it on the WW Div. side.
THANKS so much for working with us on this "emergency discharge" so we could keep the work
going. Especially thanks for taking time when you were out of the office to call back and work with me.
me
Michelle Cahill
Principal Civil Engineer
Public Works Engineering
City of Eugene
244 E Broadway
Eugene Oregon 97401
(541)682-6855
(541) 682-8410 (fax)
8/2/2007
